Overview:

HAZUS is a nationally applicable, standardized methodology for estimating potential losses from disasters including floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tsunamis. The HAZUS loss estimation model calculates physical, economic and social impacts of disasters and provides users with a graphic of high-risk locations and visualization of where populations, geographic assets and resources are related to high risk areas.
