Overview:

Promotes use of nonstructural methods for reducing life loss and minimizing property damage. Provides technical consultation on a full array of flood risk management measures from initial assessments and plan formulation through technical review. Offers tools and resources including publications, Best Practice Guides, assessment tools, nonstructural matrix, and National Flood Barrier Testing and Certification Program. Common types of assistance include:

  • Consultation on scope of work development
  • Assistance with nonstructural assessments and plan formulation
  • Workshops, webinars, and public meeting presentations
  • Quality assurance
  • Technical Review
  • Flood risk management behind levees and below dam

Funding Information:

  • Services provided to USACE Districts at no to full cost, depending on scale of request.
  • Services also provided at cost to state agencies, local governments, Indian Tribes, and other federal or non- federal public agencies. Contacat a local USACE office for more information
