Overview:

The NWS issues warnings for tornados, flash floods, winter storms, fire weather, tropical cyclone/hurricane and airport and coastal/lakeshore marine forecasts. These forecasts are for use by the general public as well as decision makers. NWS’ early warning systems are integral to emergency preparedness on local, state and regional levels.
