Overview: |
Provides technical assistance through Building Blocks Program to strengthen local capacity to implement sustainable approaches, including presentations and exercises to facilitate discussion on a priority topic, leading to agreed-upon actions. Assistance has been provided to 45 states through 150 projects. In 2016, 25 communities will receive technical assistance using one of five sustainability tools. The Flood Resilience for Riverine and Coastal Communities tool helps communities prepare for flooding or sea level rise and plan for disaster resilience. A useful report generated under this program is called Disaster Recovery And Long-Term Resilience Planning In Vermont. |
